There is something Classical & Romantic about Peonies, Hydrangeas & Roses for a summer wedding.
With peonies readily available from May & roses all year round, pop in abundant hydrangeas & the result is just dreamy.
One of my summer brides picked exactly these flowers along with other ivory tones for her wedding flowers. Along with the classical & romantic peonies, roses & hydrangeas, my suggestion of mixing in lisianthus, Veronica, trachelium in her bridal bouquet turned out to be a rather sumptuous armful of yummy romance!
With a half a dozen bridesmaids, we opted for each to have a posy of white hydrangeas. Each with a few small headed ivory roses, bound in ivory satin ribbon & secured with pearl tipped pins. Such a pretty understated compliment to the dreamy bridal bouquet.
It was a total white floral event with button holes & corsages to compliment. Of course the grooms button hole had a flavour of his brides bouquet to link in perfectly.
Other button holes were the classic rosa ivory avalanche to fit the theme of the classic palette. And with glorious summer sunshine, a beautifully romantic special day was enjoyed by everyone.
Classical & Romantic, sometimes the less is more really is the perfect recipe!
